Praying in defiance of Israel's war in Gaza - 09 Jan 09
سكان غزة يصلون في في حطام مسجد في تحدى لقوات الإحتلال
More than a dozen mosques have been hit in the course of Israel's war on Gaza.
But two weeks into the war, Muslim worshippers have not been deterred by the destruction, or the risks of going to pray at what could be a potential target.
"The status quo has failed. The American policy toward Israel and Palestine has done nothing except prolong the suffering of the Palestinian people and enable the Israelis to keep an iron grip on the West Bank while at the same time sealing off Gaza and its 1.5 million people.
"We desperately need a new American approach that is unbiased and gives equal consideration to both sides."
Aviva Cantor of New York City summarized the Israeli and Gaza dark days of war succinctly in the Times on January 4:
"The tragedy is that the international community did not accurately analyze the situation and push effectively for the renewal of the cease fire -- and include in its enforcement provisions.
"This is what it must do before the war escalates to the point where a truce will be impossible to negotiate and enforce -- with disastrous international consequences."
Christian D. Van Dyck of Gardiner, Maine, in his January 4 letter stated his viewpoint on the relentlessly raging conflict:
"For the last several decades, the Israeli government has used disproportionate force against Palestinians and encroached further and further into their territories, yet America remains silent.
"For too long America has been a bad friend of Israel. It is a sad fact that those in America who have voiced criticism of Israel have been largely muted by the American media, or worse branded as anti-Semitic.
"Israel and America are becoming further isolated from the rest of the world."
"Israel's attacks in the Gaza Strip will only beget further hatred in the region. It is time for America to be a true friend of Israel."
Ben Kreilkamp of Minneapolis shared his viewpoint on the Israeli and Gaza war in the Times on January 5:
"Regarding `In Israel, Bloomberg shows his support.'
"Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg of New York City is quoted as saying, 'I think I speak for an awful lot of Americans, who think that Israel is doing the right thing in defending Israel
"There are few who would argue with that statement as it stands.
"Israel indeed is entirely justified in defending itself. What is at question is the way Israel is defending itself. What possible good will come of laying siege to a population, reducing it to hopelessness, radicalizing generations of its youth, fulfilling the most frightful image in its own most fearful mirror, and trying to bomb it into submission?
"Clearly, Israel's policies fit hand in glove with those in Hamas. That is in fact the way war works, and it is increasingly clear that war is not the answer.
"We can't afford it, it does no good, it leads to more war, it is a helpless and fearful response to helplessness and fear."
With the past 8 horrifying years of the Bush reign of error and the terror of the Iraq War is the last thing the U.S. needed to cope with.
One might hope the U.S. would at the very least call for cessation of hostilities and appeal to diplomacy and negotiate to stop the horrifying death scenes of civilians -- men, women and children caught in the crossfire of what is nearing a massacre. But Bush remains silent
As for his legacy, both George W. Bush and first lady Laura Bush declare future historians will credit Bush with a positive assessment of his White House years of residency.
However, many millions throughout the world are aghast at what the unneeded Iraq War has accomplished with its death toll, destruction and debt.
And now with the U.S. economy sinking into the abyss of over a $10 trillion debt, and men of great wealth committing suicide now that their corruption is being uncovered in colossal investment scandals, two interrelated questions must be asked:
What on earth will happen next in the bankrupt U.S.A.?
How much more must the U.S. borrow from China, Saudi Arabia and Japan to keep two wars going and U.S. credit from collapsing completely?

From Evel Knievel - A Channeled Message About Blossom & MPixie
SENT FROM OUR FRIENDS at AWAY TEAM2012, hosted by us:
Channeled to AwayTeam2012
22 October, 2008
START MESSAGE:
People of Earth. This is Evel Knievel, speaking to you from waay, waay, out there.
First of all, I want to give a shout out to our dear friends Blossom GoodChild, and that Babe who is channeling the White Winged Unconscious Nine. I'm sending you babes Love and Light, Full Throttle. There have been a lot of ugly words exchanged, because all of us are so deeply disappointed in the failure of the light ship to appear. In our disappointment, we have failed to see the bigger picture,- the bigger treasure that Blossom and MagentaPixie have enriched us with. They have gifted us with Sight, and reawakened us to the knowing and the becoming. And they have left themselves so vulnerable at the same time.
It's just like that time I jumped Snake River Canyon. I knew that rocket didn't have a chance in hell of getting over that canyon. But I strapped myself into that rocket, and I did the best I could. Did the fact that I failed to get across the canyon make me a pussy? No Way!
My friends, faith is like that. Faith is all about grabbing your balls and strapping yourself into your rocket and hurling yourself out there, with all the belief in yourself, the faith, you can muster.
Blossom and Magenta Pixie did that for us. They climbed on some crappy motorcycles and hurled themselves out there because they love us.
So grab your balls My friends, strap in, and always remember that hope is never a four letter word.
If I had one wish, I would drop a love bomb on you, but the Pleiadians won't let me. So I will leave you with this thought. It takes a whole team to get me over my goal. Ramp builders and mechanics and drivers. One man can't do it alone. Your lives are like that too. You are all members of God's most amazing motorsports team, The Human Race. And you have to stop fighting and get together, if you want to get your team, Team Homo Sapien, across that canyon. United you stand, and divided, you most definitely will perish.
In the meantime, I'd like to thank my Pleiadian buddies, and my sponsor -- Harley Davidson of Ganymede.
I want to announce that I plan to jump the moon. The Pleiadians have hooked me up with a cool new x three rocket, with a tasty light package and massive suspension.
The American moon colony won't let me jump over them, just like in Snake River Canyon. So I'm reaching out to an Indian colony, but there on the dark side of the moon, so you won't see it live. ESPN will probably carry it on pay per view. I will post the event on cycle jumpers dot com.
At my funeral, they spoke the words that I've always lived by. You must follow your dreams. No matter how stupid everyone tells you they are.
And I'm sorry I've been messing with your Google Earth pictures. That was just me practicing my moon jump.
Happy Landings my friends. You are So loved. You are Love itself.

Волчая яма Ирак (Valley of the Wolves Iraq) (Part 6-12)
The movie opens with a depiction of a real-life incident: the arrest on July 4, 2003 of 11 allied Turkish special forces soldiers and 13 civilians by the U.S. commander of the 173rd Airborne, Colonel William C. Mayville [2] (Sam William Marshall, (played by American actor Billy Zane)) in the northern Iraqi town of Sulaymaniyah. The Turkish soldiers suppose that this is an ordinary visit from their NATO allies. But this time it is different.
This arrest is infamous in Turkey as the so-called "Hood event". The soldiers were led out of their headquarters at gunpoint, with hoods over their heads and subsequently detained for sixty hours before being released. This was the first time such an incident had ever taken place between the two NATO allies. The United States apologized for the incident, and Donald Rumsfeld later issued a statement of regret for the detention, but many Turks took great offense at the incident.
One of the Turkish officers, unable to bear the shame of the hooding, committed suicide. In the film, one of the special forces troops, Suleyman Aslan is so humiliated by the shame of the hooding that he commits suicide after writing a letter to his friend, Polat Alemdar (played by Necati Şaşmaz, shown in large profile on the poster).
Alemdar is a former Turkish intelligence agent who has recently severed links to the government agency for which he worked. Determined to avenge his friend's humiliation, Alemdar travels to Iraq along with several of his colleagues to seek vengeance on the American commander whose actions led to Aslan's suicide.
At a checkpoint, Alemdar and his team murder three Iraqi Kurdish paramilitary troops called "Peshmerge".
They attach explosives to the foundation of a hotel. They demand commander Sam William Marshall, who was responsible for the hood incident, to come to the hotel. He complies. When Marshall arrives, Polat wants him to put a sack above his head and to publicly leave the hotel with it, allowing journalists to take photos, taking the same insult he committed to Polat's dead friend. The group threatens to blow up the hotel unless Marshall and some of his men let themselves be led out of the hotel while hooded. Marshall refuses and brings in a group of Iraqi children as human shields. Alemdar gives in and leaves.
Marshall raids an Arab wedding on the pretext of hunting terrorists. When the usual celebratory gunfire starts, one soldier says: "Now they are shooting, now they are terrorists." They attack a wedding party. A small child named Ali sticks a branch up the barrel of one of their guns. The soldier fires as a reflex response, shooting the child Ali dead in front of his parents. The rest of the soldiers panic and begin firing on the wedding guests, beat up the bride, shoot the groom in the head in front of the bride, shoot the guests and children (see controversy, below). The survivors are captured and forced into an airtight container truck and sent to Abu Ghraib prison (the infamous prisoner mistreatment is then depicted later). Enroute an American soldier complains that the prisoners might be suffocating in the truck. One of Marshall's men then fires on the truck, spraying the detainees with bullets, claiming he is providing them fresh air. "See, now they won't suffocate to death" he says. When the soldier threatens to report the incident, he is promptly shot.
While, in Abu Ghraib.... supposedly Lynndie England is making naked human pyramids from those arrested in the wedding. The prisoners are washed with high pressure nozzles.
In a later scene, an execution of a Western journalist by Iraqi rebels is about to take place, but an esteemed-by-the-rebels sheikh prevents it and offers the journalist the opportunity to kill the rebel who was about to kill him—the rebel does not resist, but the journalist declines the offer.
The bride Leyla wants revenge by becoming a suicide bomber, but is talked out of it by the Sheikh who says it is against Sharia (Islamic religious law). Leyla hurries to a market to stop her friend, father of a child killed at the wedding, from blowing himself up where Marshall is having a meeting but is too late. Alemdar and his men, who also happen to be there to assassinate Marshall are led to safety by Leyla.
Alemdar and his team then attempt to kill Marshall again by rigging a bomb in a piano (which once belonged to Saddam Hussein) that's being delivered to Marshall as a gift. The bomb explodes prematurely, and Marshall survives.
Alemdar and Leyla then go to a mosque, to meet the Sheikh. Marshall tracks them down, however, and a big firefight ensues. The entire village and mosque is destroyed by heavy gunfire. Together they manage to kill Marshall, but Leyla is also killed by Marshall.91-
