It's a compilation of a few videos I've taken at work. The message at the end is for all us working Dads and Moms who realize how easily the security of our family can be lost in a matter of days or weeks due to economic shifts. The guy welding and operating the molding machine is myself. As my profile states, at this plant I'm maintenance, machine setup, process technician, toolsetter and a welder! Thats what letting your boss know what you are capable of gets you, 5 jobs one paycheck... In the end this plant closed. It's production represented 10% of all the united states electroplated chrome parts. We supplied major parts and assemblies for the big three in huge quantities. If you drive any chevy truck and it has a chrome bumper me or one of my friends made the grille and bumper that goes on it. We made ALL of the Malibu grilles and hundreds of thousands of parts daily. We could produce 3500 sets of chrome bumper assemblies to fit the New Chevrolet 1500HD pickup per day. The greedy folks in the UAW went on strike and shut the entire GMT900 line down. that was 45 people laid off immediately. That was just our GMT900 line, we had several other lines that also shut down completely or went to very low production when they went on strike. The UAW is going to be in trouble when they don't have any employers to negotiate with because they went defunct. Unions are counter productive and hurtful to almost everyone involved.

A grin slowly spread across his face, "erm...Matt?" he asked as I sat there biting my nails while my leg shook by it's self, making me look like a nut job, "what?!" I said, leaning toward him excitedly. He looked back at Nick and Kevin, who both had confused looks on their faces and turned back, "well, since your so happy, I decided to invite a few people over," I nodded at him and smiled, "who?" I asked eagerly. He paused and then carried on, "I got a few...well about five girls I want you to meet, BUT before you do your thing or whatever I'd like to say, you don't need to do anything, just..talk," he leant back a bit as Nick and Kevin groaned beside him, "why Joe?" Nick said as he studied my reaction. I stared into space registering what he said and my heart sank, I was no longer happy, "t..talk...with girls?!" I said nervously as my whole body suddenly felt numb. Joe's smile faded, "oh...erm...I thought you would be happy, I mean, you were happy...OW!" he said and turned to Nick, who had still had his hand raised having just punched him in the arm, "Joe! He wasn't drunk you idiot! He's gonna know what your talking about! and Why do that?!" he said angrily. At least Joe was on his own on this one, "Well I can't do anything now! They're coming in about..." he checked the clock again, "now," and just as he said that, there was a knock at the door. I quickly stood up, "Oh god! What do I say?! How do I act?! Joe, your lucky I'm not the violent type," I said pacing back and forth. Nick looked at me sympathetically, "well, he's not so lucky that I am," he said and punched Joe in the arm again, harder. Joe grabbed his arm and pouted, "OW! My arms gone numb now!!" he whined. There was another knock and he got up and put his hand on the doorknob, "just be yourself Matt, it will be okay," he smiled and I waved my hands nervously in the air, "what's being myself?!" I said anxiously and Joe just shook his head and pulled the door open, "hello ladies!" he said, grinning down at them. Oh god! I think I'm going to throw up! I've got a bad feeling about this! I watched as they climbed onto the bus, most of them had quite...revealing outfits on, "hey I'm Nat, you must be Matt," she said as her eyes darted over Nick and Amelia sitting together on the chair. I nodded and cleared my throat, "er...hey," I said nervously. She smiled and turned to her friend, whispering something in her ear. Her friend smiled and held out her hand as well, "Hi I'm Emily, so it's true, your exactly like Nick...wow! Although, I love that mole on your cheek, it's cute," she giggled and I blushed a little, "hey and yeah..er, thanks," I didn't know what to say, her cleavage was literally in my face and that made me feel so uncomfortable. Well I heard from Nick that Cody might have a crush on you. He never directly says anything since you hate Joe and everything, but he acts like it ALL the time. And I trust Nick.
