I was at Busch Gardens in Tampa,FL the weekend that Tropical Storm Fay threatened South FL. They closed down schools & government offices on Monday August 18,2008 & Tuesday August 19, 2008. I wish I had exact wind speeds & inches of rain but this was about the worst it got during its path here. I was driving back home when my dad called and asked me to hurry home, since they expected it to be at its strongest impact by 11:00pm Eastern Time.

We re-routed South of the Bahamas and hugged the coast of Cuba as TS Hannah spun in place directly in our path. Less than 10 miles off the coast of Dominica we sailed through 72 mph headwinds and 10-15 foot seas. The monstrous oceanliner (over 1,000 ft. long and 15 stories tall) just shuddered a bit now and then but all was well./ Once in St. Thomas (U.S. Virgin Islands) and then in St. Maarten (Philipsburg, British West Indies) the weather was great most of the time.

Hey ppls, me and icy and nine are fine. hope u guys in the path of the last of Hannah and Ike r ok and will b. ur in our prayors. :) quick summery: all we got was a couple thuder storms and rain. Wind, probably up to about 20mph at most. down at the beach, different story. Trees down, limbs down, at least 16 ft wave swells. ttyl. be careful!
